About the artist

Stefan Larsson (QNQ / AUJIK) was born in 1973 in Soderhamn, Sweden, and lives and works in Otsu, Japan. He studied MFA at Umea Academy of Fine Arts in Sweden.

Stefan is an award winning contemporary artist who received an honorary mention award (computer graphic/film/vfx) at the 2011 edition of Prix Ars Electronica in Linz, Austria and has been featured on events such as Ars Electronica animation festival 2011, OnedotZero 2011 & 2012, Japan Media Arts Festival 2011.

Some of his recent and upcoming events include Pixelpop Barranquilla (Colombia, 28 Sept-14 Oct 2012), Simultan – the beginning of the end, Timisoara (Romania, 11-13 Oct 2012), Exterasa Arte Actula (w. cologneOFF, Mexico City, 18-19 Oct 2012), Anima – International animation festival (Banja Luka, Herzegovina, Bosnia 23-28 Oct 2012), Digital Art Festival Taipei (Taiwan, 16-25 Nov 2012), SIGGRAPH Asia (Conferance and exhibition, Singapore, 28 Nov- 1 Dec 2012), CologneOFF ExDox (documentary festival, 2012/13), CologneOFF animate festival (2012/13), CologneOFF VIII – Continetal Drift (2012/13), OneDotZero international tour, and Videholica selected work tour, Oslo Central station (Norway – curated by Oslo Screen Festival,  January 24 – February 25.

Works by AUJIK have been featured at Prix Ars Electronica,  Ars Electronica Animation Festival, SIGGRAPH Asia, Japan Media Arts Festival, OneDotZero, CMoDA Beijing, Cyberfest St Petersburg, CologneOFF, Palais de Tokyo, STRP-festival Holland, Computer Space Bulgaria and Biwako Biennale. Also at galleries in Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, Yokohama and Berlin.
